GaGa and The Third Wave of Feminism According to Professor Palenscar

Today in my American Social and Culture History seminar Palenscar talked about the three waves of feminism. I’m sure you’re all aware of the the first two waves (assuming that my followers are above the age of 16 and have actually attended a history class) but very rarely is the third wave of feminism mentioned. Well let me lay it down for you, according to Professor John Palenscar

The third wave of feminism is not about the right to vote or the right to work, it’s about the right to be yourself and, according to Palenscar, “there is no better leader for this movement then Lady GaGa!” YES, HE SERIOUSLY SAID THAT!

According to Palenscar: “GaGa can be sexy, flirty, hard working, career driven, and, at the VMAs, a man. And there is no better person who expresses the idea ‘This is who the fuck I am.’”

“It’s not about age or gender,” he says “it’s about who I am”

Palenscar then went on say that he isn’t a fan of her music, or her outfits, but he does see the message. “She is manufacturing personal empowerment through her fame”

And now you all know why I fucking love this professor.
